RHS Chelsea Flower Show London 2011

This year’s entry at the Chelsea International Flower and garden show, designed by Ian Barker was project managed and constructed by a team led by Matt Seymour and Steve Blencowe of Apex Landscapes. The award winning garden, a tribute to the life of passionate English botanist Sir Joseph Banks and his journey aboard Captain James Cook’s HMV ‘Endeavour’ in which they discovered Australia and along the way discovered hundreds of never before seen plant species which they took back to England with them.

A highlight of the build for both Steve Blencowe and Matt Seymour was on the first day of show, ‘media day’ when they were both fortunate enough to meet ‘her majesty the Queen.’

Apex Landscapes would like to sincerely thank Wes Fleming and family and ‘Trailfinders’ for the opportunity to demonstrate our landscaping professionalism at this year’s event that is dubbed ‘the world wide Olympics of landscaping’, and also extend a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone that was involved in helping to bring this garden together.
